Workshop on How to Write a Policy Brief at the University of Lisbon
We conduct a workshop on how to write a policy brief at the University of Lisbon to train Portuguese researchers in key skills, such as structuring, clarity of language, and evidence presentation.
On 28 October 2024 the University of Lisbon hosted the workshop "How to Write a Policy Brief?". Organised by the Portuguese Agency for Planning and Policy Evaluation (PLANAPP) and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC), the event gathered 25 researchers. The workshop combined theoretical and practical sessions, aiming to equip participants with tools to create effective policy briefs for public policymaking.
Ana Elorza, head of Oficina C at FECYT, participated as a facilitator to guide researchers in drafting clear and concise documents designed for policymakers. The policy briefs focused on topics relevant to Portugal’s public policy.
This workshop underscores Oficina C's role in fostering similar initiatives in other countries, and in building and strengthening the science for policy science ecosystem across Europe.
