Workshop on science, public policy, and crime
We attend the workshop on science and public policy related to crime, organised by the Spanish Group of Penal Legislative Policy (GEPL, by its Spanish acronym)
On 4 and 5 April, the IV Workshop on Science and Public Policy Related to Crime took place. The event featured a variety of activities, including panel discussions, a guided tour of the Congress of Deputies, and an online presentation of the posters prepared for the occasion.
On the first day, two panel discussions were held. The first, titled “The Current Situation of the Connection between Scientific Knowledge and Policy,” was followed by a second panel on “The Perspective from Knowledge Production.” Additionally, Ana Elorza, FECYT Coordinator at Oficina C, participated in workshop sessions designed to illustrate the roles of individuals working at the intersection of science and public policy.
The workshop concluded on Friday 5 April with closing remarks from the organisers, the Spanish Group of Penal Legislative Policy (GEPL).
