A public consultation is open until July 7 for anyone, without the need for technical knowledge, to submit topics they consider relevant and that can be addressed from a scientific perspective. Participating is simple: just fill out an online form that takes less than five minutes to complete.
Oficina C has opened a public consultation to gather proposals from society on relevant issues that can be addressed with scientific knowledge. This initiative aims to encourage societal participation, facilitate collective contribution in the identification of relevant topics for the Congress and reinforce the relevance of the Reports C prepared.
Participating is simple: just fill out an online form (only available in Spanish), which takes less than five minutes to complete. No technical knowledge is required.
The consultation is part of the I Open Parliament Plan of the Congress of Deputies. It contributes to broadening the scope of Oficina C as a space for the connection between Congress, the scientific community and society.
In the previous edition, 336 proposals were received, which helped define most of the topics presented by Oficina C to the Bureau of the Congress, with the support of the Advisory Committee. Every year, the Bureau selects which issues are transformed into Reports C: documents that gather and contextualise the scientific evidence on key topics, such as ageing, cancer, critical minerals, or misinformation.
