Oficina C attends the event "New horizons for the ecosystem of scientific advice in public administration" organised by the citizen initiative Science in Parliament
The event "New horizons for the ecosystem of scientific advice in public administration: the EU's Science Meets Regions programme and its implications for connecting science and policy," organised by Ciencia en el Parlamento in collaboration with the European Parliament Liaison Office in Spain, brought together professionals and experts from various disciplines to exchange information on the role of science in public policy.
During the event, various lectures, symposia, and round tables were coordinated and organised, addressing key topics at the intersection of science and policy. Ana Elorza, head of Oficina C, actively participated in the symposium "Ecosystem of science for policy in Spain," where she presented and discussed the approaches carried out by the parliamentary office to connect science and policy.
The event facilitated a rich debate on the science-for-policy ecosystem from multiple perspectives, including scientific and political. The role of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in promoting scientific advice in Europe was highlighted, and the challenges and advancements in integrating science into the public policy-making process in Spain were discussed.
